Vetting New and Prospective Members



With the Clan Perks Update, it has become more beneficial to have a larger clan because it will help us level up our clan faster and unlock perks, so we're going to be doing everything we can in the coming weeks to build up our ranks, and really need ALL our members to step up and help out when it comes to recruiting and vetting new members.

At a minimum, it only takes a few seconds to post a recruitment message in global. The most basic message would be something like "recruiting active adults and older teens. level 5 archer/wiz minimum. frequent wars." If people ask to join, you need to check their profile and their base for the requirements below. Make sure they have a good friend in need and decent war stars. If their trophies are too low to request to join, check how high they've been and tell them we don't allow farming below gold, and prefer players that are comfortable sitting in crystal. If you want to go a step further, there's the Supercell forums, CoC Builder, and other places you can also recruit. Switching back and forth between English and Norsk globals doesn't hurt either.

With a large influx of new and prospective members, it becomes increasingly important that new members are thoroughly vetted to ensure we're only taking quality players who will make a positive contribution to the clan. This means active players who check in daily, donate their best troops, are capable attackers in war, and who we're confident won't go AWOL or skip out on war once we've started. 

These things have been an issue recently with a number of rushed TH10s who were let in, and made our war matchups more difficult because they did not have the troops to attack other TH10s, or even high TH9s, and other players who weren't really active, skipped out on war, and/or really just had no clue what they were doing and weren't interested in working as a team.


Below is a guideline that covers minimum requirements based on a player's level. If a player doesn't meet these requirements, they're either rushed or not very active, and should be rejected.

***Important: at this stage of the game we need to be selective and avoid rushed town halls, but also balance the number of TH8s/9s/10s to give us the best shot at a fair matchup in war. A good balance would be about as many or slightly more TH8s as TH9s, and half as many TH10s. Right now, part of our problem is that we are have 3 strong TH10s, about 10 early to mid-stage TH9s, and just 6 TH8s. This means our clan may be short a few TH10s/late stage TH9s, but the bigger problem is that we're still top heavy with too many lower TH9s relative to the # of TH8s. This creates a problem with our matchups because the other clan will have roughly the same # of TH8s/9s/10s, but the other clan usually has several TH9s that are capable of attacking for 3 stars on most of our TH9s, while our TH9s are at best getting 2 stars against other TH9s. That said, we need to be especially selective with TH9s that are below level 95 or 100--unless they're highly active, have a lot of war stars, and have good war troops for their level, right now we're actually better off getting more TH8s.***


Town Hall 8

- Minimum Level 65
- 6,000 Friend in Need
- Wiz and Archer 5
- 200 army camp spots
- Maxed TH7 defense (possible exception of air d and teslas) with level 6 walls (excluding new defenses and walls, and preferably at least half level 7 walls)
- Later stage TH8s should start having drags 3, BK 5, and leveled up minions, hogs, and PEKKA.

Town Hall 9 

- Minimum Level 85
- 9,000 Friend in Need
- BK5, Golems, PEKKA 2
- Wiz towers, air defense, and mortars 6, cannons 10, archer towers 9 (excluding new defenses). Teslas 4.
- At least 25 clan castle spots (level 4)
- If they have been TH9 for more than a couple weeks, they should have 4 spells, an archer queen, and more than 200 army camp spots.
*Remember, this is the minimum for TH9, but we don't really need players that meet the TH9 minimum, so unless they're super active with high donations and good war stars/troops, we really only want players with level 3 PEKKA, 15+ combined heroes, and leveled up GoWiWi/Lavaloon armies (level 2 witches or level 3 golem and/or max balloons with lava hounds unlocked and preferably leveled up).

Town Hall 10 

- Minimum Level 100
- 12,000 Friend in Need
- 220 army camp spots, 30 clan castle spots
- Level 15+ combined heroes
- Golems 3, PEKKA 3, preferably witches 2
- Wiz towers 6, archer towers 10, teslas 6, cannons 11, mortars 7, walls 7


Other Factors

War Eligibility -
if someone is ineligible for more than a day, or close to it, it means they bailed on their previous clan during war. Unless they have a really good answer as to why, they should be rejected.

War Stars - at this stage, we really want players who have at least 100 war stars.

Trophies - look under sweet victory to see a player's highest trophy total. If they haven't been to crystal by around level 75, or haven't been to master by level 95 or 100, they're a permafarmer, and should probably be rejected.

Also look at the troops donated/received and battles won per season. Their ratio should be decent (minimum 1:3), and they should average at least 15 battles in a season.
